Bill Gendron

Co-founder & President

Bill Gendron obtained his BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Penn State University in 1981/82. Upon graduation, he navigated a diverse set of leadership roles in global, high-tech companies including engineering management, project/program management, mergers/acquisitions, continuous improvement, and business P&L responsibilities. With his broad background, he eventually started a consulting firm focused on assisting organizations of all sizes achieve breakthrough performance. He is now retired, supporting a wide range of volunteer initiatives focused on youth development in Centre County PA. He is one of the Co-Founders of CentreSTEM, Inc., serving the Board as the President

Bill Jester

Co-Founder & Treasurer

Bill Jester is a State College native who studied Engineering Science and Mechanics at Penn State before earning a Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics at the University of Texas at Austin. Following a career as a software engineer developing computational fluid dynamics tools, he shifted his focus to serving the community, serving as the Director of Children's Ministry at State College Alliance Church and the lead mentor for Centre County 4-H Robotics. He has been mentoring the CC4H Robotics high school team since 2016 and the elementary FIRST LEGO League team since 2024, and co-founded CentreSTEM in 2025.

Zoltan Rado

Board Member

Dr. Rado is a visionary and performance-driven Chief Scientist and Executive with 20+ years of comprehensive achievements in recognizing emerging technologies such as AI and advanced machine learning.  Dr. Rado has worked to conceptualize, and develop complex multidisciplinary AI projects in the automotive, financial and transportation industries to deliver high ROI results.  He has extensive knowledge and experience in conceptualizing, developing, and building complex state-of-the art multidisciplinary AI projects, product offerings and AI software-as-a-service solutions in the transportation, health, aviation and financial areas.

Dr. Rado had worked through the entire spectrum of machine learning and Artificial Intelligence from basic research to co-founding two companies and developing the AI platform for them serving all major air carriers (United, Delta, Southwest, Alaska, Amerikan, JetBlue) in the US and a major automotive OEM (Stellantis).

Dr. Rado is a seasoned AI innovator in technology strategy to conceive, develop and integrate machine learning solutions leveraging data to create deep business insights, reduce decision risks and create revenue.

In addition to providing cutting-edge AI analysis for the automotive manufacturers and air carriers, Zoltan Rado has also designed sophisticated AI systems for leading financial institutions, enhancing risk management, improving customer acquisition, and identifying unique loan and lease opportunities. Furthermore, Zoltan has been instrumental in developing AI capabilities for the healthcare sector, driving innovations that improve patient monitoring and emergency alerting services via video monitoring.

Vivian Servey

Vivian Servey is an Academic Program Coordinator at Penn State’s School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, where she supports graduate students. She is also the lead mentor for six FIRST Tech Challenge robotics teams, guiding students in engineering, teamwork, and problem‑solving. With experience working with learners from preschool through graduate school, she brings a deep commitment to student growth and community STEM engagement. Having lived across the East Coast and Midwest, Vivian returned to State College with her expanding family and continues to invest in local youth programs. She is known for her organization, creativity, and dedication to building positive, supportive learning environments.

Richard Wortman

Richard was born in Seattle, Washington but calls Charlotte, North Carolina home. A 1987 graduate of Duke University, he earned degrees in Electrical Engineering and History and received his commission through the Naval ROTC program. During his nearly 30 year Naval career, Richard held a variety of leadership and major staff positions, including command of USS CHICAGO and the TRIDENT Training Facility in Bangor, Washington. Following his retirement in 2016, Richard worked within the Washington, DC defense sector before relocating to State College in 2020 to serve as Deputy Director and Office Head for Undersea Systems at the Penn State Applied Research Lab. As of January 2026, he is now fully retired and pursuing new endeavors to include serving on the Board for Centre STEM.

Edit Rado

Edit Radone Fasi is an accomplished operations and program-management leader with deep experience building the systems, processes, and cross-functional collaboration needed to deliver high-impact education and research initiatives. At Penn State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences, she served as Assistant Director of Post-Award (2018–2024), leading a six-person team supporting a large portfolio of sponsored awards—573 new awards totaling $159M in FY2023—and ensuring strong compliance, financial stewardship, and timely sponsor reporting.

Known for creating “best-in-class” solutions, Edit designed and implemented an innovative post-award management software/database that automated complex workflows, centralized critical information, and helped cut administrative staffing needs by roughly 50% while improving speed and accuracy of account setup and award management.

Earlier, she helped manage the $100M DOE-funded Consortium for Building Energy Innovation (CBEI) at Penn State, where she coordinated multi-partner program execution, led reporting and fiscal management, and developed a custom SharePoint collaboration platform used by 100+ professionals to track deliverables and produce technical reports efficiently.

Edit holds a Master of Project Management from Penn State, an MBA, and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, bringing a practical, systems-oriented approach that translates well to scaling a nonprofit STEM club and curriculum program for grades 3–12.

Rob Shearer

Board Member

Rob Shearer is Managing Partner at SEKO Worldwide, where he leads major logistics verticals in government, space and defense as well as MedTec healthcare, building compliant systems for high-value, sensitive, and highly regulated products. Since joining SEKO in 2001, Rob has focused on supply-chain innovation, reliability, critical thinking, and practical problem solving—experience that aligns with CentreSTEM’s work to expand hands-on robotics, AI, and cybersecurity learning for K–12 students across Centre County. He also brings long-standing board leadership, including service as co-founder and board chair at St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy and chair of the Commonwealth Children’s Choice Fund of Pennsylvania.
